Once again this year, we are looking for innovative business ideas from all over OWL to award them with prize money of up to 1,500 euros in the final!
Write your idea on a maximum of 2 A4 pages. This is where you present the idea, the benefits, the market and the feasibility. You can also add a page for graphics and images if required. Upload your idea sketch using the application form at the bottom of the page.
Are you missing the right business idea? Sign up for our Find your Idea Workshop! You don't think your idea is good enough? Or: You think your idea is too good to reveal to the world? Let our coaches give you feedback on your idea before you submit it. Feedback discussions and drafts of idea sketches have no effect on the evaluation of competition submissions. You can find the conditions of participation here.
How do you assess the opportunities and risks of implementing the idea? How do you assess the feasibility? How is the team set up? What superpowers do you have for implementing the idea? What are the next steps?
The topic of social entrepreneurship is close to our hearts. Does your idea solve a social problem in the areas of environment, social affairs, education, poverty reduction, human rights? This will be included in the evaluation.

It's not far from here to the final. We want to get to know you and your idea better.
As soon as our Expert Committee has determined the finalists, there will be a kickoff and pitch training.

In the final, you pitch your idea in 5 minutes in front of a top-class jury and the audience at VerbundVolksbank OWL. You will then answer the jury's critical questions.
The best three ideas will be awarded prize money totaling 3,000 euros.

At the bottom of the page you will find the application form which you can use to submit your idea. Formulate your idea in detail on 2 A4 pages and upload it to the form.
Anyone and everyone can take part in our ideas competition. Simply use your creative streak or formulate solutions to everyday problems that you encounter. The best ideas get the chance to compete for prize money in the final.
The grand finale of the Call for Ideas at VerbundVolksbank OWL will take place on June 26, 2025. The deadline for submitting idea papers is April 27, 2025. Until then, we will be accepting all innovative, creative and crazy idea papers via our form.
You don't necessarily have to be based in OWL with your team. However, a connection to our region would be a prerequisite for participation, for example if you studied here at a university in the region or if East Westphalia-Lippe is your home.
