Penbook is a platform that unites all book lovers in one place - from authors and readers to content creators such as book tokers. Instead of being spread across many platforms, Penbook bundles four areas: Reading, Writing, Content Creation and Book Clubs. Authors benefit from digital tools that facilitate writing processes and organization, supported by AI to promote creativity. The community also offers marketing opportunities and reach for self-publishers. Stories really come to life here. Future releases are planning a freelancer section through which authors can hire proofreaders or editors, for example, to professionally optimize their works.
Penbook is run by a sole founder, a psychology graduate with a great passion for reading and writing. She has written and self-published books herself, experiencing first-hand the hurdles of self-publishing. From this experience, she recognizes how difficult it is to be seen in the publishing world - many manuscripts go undiscovered, while international bestsellers are preferred. This personal understanding makes her the ideal founder to create a platform that effectively connects authors and readers.
Penbook is currently working with a freelancer (full-stack developer) on the almost finished MVP. The start-up has been accepted to garage33's Incubator 3 and is looking for a technical co-founder to strengthen the team.
