Puraite focuses on automating the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) process in medical research. This process includes the search, screening and data extraction of publications to find answers to research questions such as "What are the effects of creatine?" or "How does vitamin D affect bone fractures?". Traditionally, this takes 1-2 years and costs an average of 140,000 euros. Puraite uses advanced AI technologies to speed up this process by over 50% initially (in real time in the long term). Through semantic search and AI-supported data extraction, relevant studies are identified and analyzed faster. The human-in-the-loop approach ensures that researchers remain in control and are supported without being replaced. Puraite thus offers an efficient, transparent tool for improving medical research.
The founding team consists of two computer scientists with doctorates, Vitalik Melnikov and Karlson Pfannschmidt, as well as business IT specialist Schahin Baki. Vitalik and Karlson are doing their doctorates in the field of machine learning and have extensive research experience. Schahin contributes a broad understanding of interfaces and commercial expertise thanks to his master's degree in business informatics and a wide range of professional experience. The team is complemented by mentors and coaches from renowned incubator programs, making them ideally equipped for the application of AI in medicine.
