Tentris is the world's first scalable graph database optimized for GDPR-compliant and explainable machine learning. Thanks to our novel data structure, query engine and ML algorithms, we can answer queries up to 1000x faster and scale to knowledge graphs with billions of entries. And all this in a resource-efficient and sustainable way: We reduce data processing costs and CO2 emissions by up to 90%.
The Tentris start-up project is based on the research of Alexander Bigerl, Dr. Caglar Demir and Prof. Dr. Axel Ngonga in the Data Science working group at Paderborn University. The team is complemented by the business management skills of Tobias Rebert. Caglar and Alex combine more than 10 years of development experience in machine learning and graph databases. Caglar has just received his PhD and Alex is about to finish his thesis. Tobias brings more than 4 years of start-up experience through his work as a start-up coach. And last but not least Axel, who is ranked among the top 2% of AI researchers worldwide by Stanford. Tentris therefore has a very well-positioned interdisciplinary team to successfully launch Tentris on the market
In November 2023, we held our first closed preview with 8 companies. Since May 2024, the entire Tentris team has been working full-time on the implementation of the business idea, funded by EXIST research transfer.
