VanSite is revolutionizing the camping industry by enabling landowners to offer their unused land as pitches for campers. This sharing economy approach is creating new, nature-oriented accommodation options throughout Europe. Campers can book these pitches easily and digitally via an app - available pitches can be viewed and reserved within seconds. The company attaches great importance to camping close to nature: the pitches are located on spacious plots of land, without pitches and are limited to a maximum of three vehicles. This makes the camping experience more individual and sustainable, tailored to the needs of the campers.
VanSite was founded by a team of passionate campers. What started as a fixed idea in the canteen, the 4-person team has scaled it into a travel app available throughout Europe. As campers themselves, they know what campers need and have used their app hundreds of times. Alex Herbst (industrial engineer), Maximilian Buschmeyer (industrial engineer, COO), David Kogan (full-stack developer) and Sebastian Siegbert (industrial engineer, CEO) are driving VanSite's vision forward together with seven working students.
Within just a few years, the team has developed an app that has been downloaded over 200,000 times and helps over 60,000 registered users to find a parking space.
