VirtuTrain was originally developed by the founders Niklas R. and Niklas S.R. during their studies at the University of Paderborn in the "Virtual Reality Experiments" module. It was there that they came up with the idea of using virtual reality (VR) for training presentations and public speaking. The two gave the go-ahead for the start-up and began to develop their vision further. Eric, who plays handball with Niklas R., became aware of the idea through this connection and joined the team as a sales expert.

The team combines different but complementary skills: Niklas and Niklas bring technical knowledge and scientific expertise in the development of VR-based training solutions, while Eric strengthens the team with his sales experience and understanding of users' needs. This combination of innovative technology, practical experience and empathy for users makes VirtuTrain special.
