Our offer is also aimed at business angels and companies who are interested in cooperating with start-ups and supporting them financially and with their expertise.

In order to further strengthen Paderborn and the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region as a hotspot for start-ups, we are pursuing various projects that further promote start-up support and infrastructure.
Factory33 establishes an entrepreneurial, internationally visible beacon for B2B start-ups in the industrial digital transformation in Ostwestfalen-Lippe (OWL). Paderborn University, Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, Bielefeld University and OWL University of Applied Sciences have joined forces to create Factory33 as Startup Factory OWL.

Since the beginning of 2024, the Start-up Campus OWL has provided university members, employees, start-ups, partner companies and those interested in founding a company with a beacon for start-up culture in the heart of the university city of Paderborn.
With an integrated maker space, the focus here is on efficient prototyping in particular. On an area of almost 1,000 m², a variety of workshops with corresponding machines offer opportunities to develop and test new products.
In addition to the workshops, we have created space for spacious event spaces, various co-working areas and a modern office landscape for the start-up scene in East Westphalia-Lippe on a total area of 7,000 m².
